  Best dining experience I’ve had in years!!
  Wait staff gave eloquent and exceptional service.
  The food WAS INCREDIBLE!! Each plate brought fourth emotions of wonder, curiosity and absolute contentment.
  
  This experience was an observation of creative genius and flavor mastery. The fragile yet robust balance between taste, texture and artistic presentation was a delight to behold.
  
  This small restaurant was the perfect intimate setting for a romantic evening with my partner. Beautifully positioned on the water with the fresh saltwater air filling the lunges. Definitely an evening I’ll remember.

  The service was wonderful from everyone who greeted us, served us drinks and food and checked in on us occasionally, without disturbing our experience. It was truly memorable and special for us. We were absolutely enthralled and impressed by each and every dish. We felt the substance and style were perfectly balanced throughout the dining and the experience of being at the restaurant. And what a beautiful location! Thank you to all of the team.

  Not sure about how their seafood is but eating as vegetarians, food was pretty mediocre. Thought we'd give it a try since my partner loves italian food.
  
  Service was pretty bad, very inattentive and ambience wasn't great. Extremely loud and hard to hear your loved one, lots of chatter and noise coming in all directions.
  
  We came here for a late valentines/anniversary with clear dietary requirements. None of those were accounted for and I had to explain everything again and the waitress then had to go and double check with the chef again. The food was hit and miss, My favourite was their brioche with mozzarella and their celeriac dish. Everything else I could've lived without. Their beetroot dish was erring on the side of fishy. I'm not sure if they accidentally served us a fish dish but it was very hard to eat but we didn't want to waste it due to our beliefs.
  
  A very poor dining experience, especially for the price you pay. If you are after a more romantic dining experience with more attentive and prepared service, skip this restaurant. There's nicer Italian restaurants out there in Sydney.

  This place is amazingly delicious. The flavours for the squid ink spanner crab pasta is one of the best I've ever had. I haven't been to a fine dining restaurant that I have enjoyed so much in quite a while. Staff are lovely
  The food is undoubtedly 5 stars.
  My reason for giving it an overall 4 star rating is that the prices are just ridiculous. I mind paying $50 for a main, but I do expect a decent portion for that price.
  The scallop tacos were $16 each and they were single bite size.
  Our family of 4 (2 kids under 12 years) shared 4 entrees and 3 mains and 2 sides and 3 desserts.
  We weren't hungry when we were done but weren't full either

  I don't usually leave restaurant reviews (good or bad) but even after five days I'm still bitterly disappointed. I'm telling anyone who cares to listen to not waste their time, effort, money, hopes for a special occasion, etc. on Ormeggio, and interestingly, I'm getting similar feedback (from locals). Ormeggio - what's happened - you used to be fantastic? I 've had some incredible meals in the past (but this was 8-10 years ago). I had a special occasion to mark and the choice of any restaurant, so I was really excited to have the opportunity to visit again. The floor staff were attentive and accommodating (hence the one star for them), however, the food was REALLY disappointing. I know hospitality is on its knees and you're struggling for good staff, but there was nothing we ate (except for the potatoes) that we enjoyed. When many of your your patrons (from what I could see) are all ordering potatoes (probably in the hope they don't starve, and actually get something tasty to eat) I think you might have a problem with your menu, or your kitchen staff - or both. This was just my experience - which was really disappointing (and a waste of money etc) - but I'm also getting constant feedback that I'm not alone with my recent experience. Such a shame - you used to do it so well.
